JUNE 2023 POLICY & ADVOCACY WEBINAR

Share:

During our June Policy & Action Update Webinar, we provided a status report on the FY24 State Budget process, final Senate Budget outcomes, reviewed the Senate’s tax relief plan, and welcomed Annis Sengupta, Director of Arts and Culture for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, to lead a conversation on cultural facilities policy.

We discussed H.3241/S.530, An Act to preserve space for the creative economy, a bill that MASSCreative is endorsing for the 2023-2024 legislative session. The Creative Space Preservation Bill would give municipalities tools to preserve creative spaces and incentivize cities and towns to establish trust funds to hold assets and property for the creation and preservation of creative spaces.
