ADVOCACY 101 TRAINING

A group of dancers are mid-routine in the background.

EVERYONE CAN (AND SHOULD!) BE AN ADVOCATE. Whether you are a first-time or experienced advocate, we can all become more effective and knowledgeable about how to build support for our communities. To co-create an arts and culture sector that is more equitable and resilient, we need more people to see themselves as arts advocates and take action

The Advocacy 101 training is about equipping you with the foundational skills you need to advocate for the issues and communities that matter the most to you.  We will review how decisions that are made at the local, state, and federal levels directly impact the creative community and how to build community power with elected decision-makers. This training is designed to prepare you to make the most of Creative Sector Advocacy Week 2025.

Please register in advance if you plan to attend.
